The Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day, cancer will be eliminated.  Teams come together to build community spirit, to honor loved ones and fight cancer – and have fun in the process.

                                Relay For Life Fact Sheet

 

What           The Relay For Life celebrates life!  Teams of 8-15 people take turns                           

                      Walking, running or strolling around a designated area such as a high

                      School athletic track.  A party atmosphere prevails among team members

                      Who camp out on the surrounding grounds.  During the Relay, participants

                      Enjoy music, food and camaraderie with each other.  Money is raised

                      Through sponsorship that the members of each team secure from

                      Individuals, companies or corporations.

Where          Hunterdon County 4H Fair Grounds, Route 179, Ringoes, NJ  

 

Why           To raise funds to support research, education, advocacy and patient services

                     In celebration of cancer survivorship in New Jersey

 

Who             Teams of individuals representing businesses, clubs, organizations,

                     Neighborhoods and families.  Since this is a non-competitive event, anyone

                     Can participate.

 

To Join          Participants are encouraged to raise $100.00 per person in donations. 

                      $50.00 for students.

·        Survivors lap:  Cancer survivors are invited to join in our celebration of

   Life and dedication to the spirit of survivorship by participating in a

      Special “Survivors Lap” as part of the opening ceremony

 

·        Luminary Ceremony:  Bagged candles are lit around the track in

  Memory of loved ones who lost their battle to cancer or in honor of            

  Cancer survivors.
